Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled
L2 Support Engineer
with 1–3 years of experience in semiconductor, PCB assembly, and electronics manufacturing technologies. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and contribute to IT-OT integration projects while performing deployment, integration, and production support activities.

This role focuses on providing
Level 2 Support
during deployment and integration phases, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting IT-OT convergence in industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test deployment packages using simulators or actual manufacturing equipment (e.g., SMT lines, wafer processing machines, die bonders).
  • Deploy finalized and validated software packages into production environments (Semiconductor Fab, PCB Assembly Line, Electronics Product Integration).
  • Integrate software packages with production applications and manufacturing equipment (e.g., Pick & Place Machines, Wire Bonders, Reflow Ovens).
  • Analyse system logs, error messages, and data to effectively troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
  • Work with data formats such as JSON and XML for configuration, data exchange, and communication between IT and OT systems.
  • Collaborate with customers, field engineers, and cross-functional internal teams to support deployment activities and provide technical assistance during production ramp-ups.
  • Support continuous learning in IT-OT integration concepts to bridge the gap between industrial automation and enterprise systems.

Preferred Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Java for debugging or minor development tasks.

  • Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as:

  • SECS/GEM

  • OPC UA
  • REST API
  • Modbus
  • PROFINET
  • EtherCAT

  • Ethernet/IP Relevant to the electronics and semiconductor industry.

  • Familiarity with automation tools and industrial control systems such as:

  • PAC (Programmable Automation Controllers)

  • PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers)
