Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of all type die maintenance running on above automated lines.
  • Responsible to maintain the dies assigned to him.
  • Handling of Emergency breakdown of all type of dies (E.g. Draw, Trim, Blank, Pierce form etc.)
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance of dies. Services, maintains, and test new or changed dies.
  • Trouble shooting of dies during production support of the plant automated production lines like Transfer, Tandem & progressive tools.
  • Break down maintenance of dies in house.
  • Coordination with Tool Room supervisor from time to time.
  • Knowledge of Tool try out & proved the components.
  • Knowledge of welding related to press tool.
  • Knowledge & hands on of Conventional M/c. like milling, drilling, surface grinding welding, Lathe, Shearing machine.
  • Knowledge of Kaizen.
  • Knowledge of 5s.
  • Performs scheduled preventative maintenance on all tooling and fills out the pm sheet.
  • Operates a variety of small machines, tools and equipment.
  • Verifies conformance of machined or repaired dies to specifications by checking dimensions, clearances and alignments.
  • Modifies dies and tooling to conform to engineering changes.
  • Tryout of new die sets and tooling.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Perform all other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • 4 years Diploma in tool & die making
  • Knowledge of Press tool Operations.
  • Good organizational, leadership, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion and tact.
  • The ability to function effectively in a team environment
  • Able to work flexible hours (3 Shifts working)
