Job Description
Your Career
We are looking for a dynamic and highly technical Cloud Network engineer to join our fast-paced, high-growth organization. This role requires expertise in Cloud Network & routing technologies. The ideal candidate will drive the architecture, implementation and support of cloud network solutions. This individual will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable cloud network solutions.
Your Impact
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud network architectures.
- Configure and manage cloud network components
- Troubleshoot network issues and implement solutions
- Build / mature observability for cloud networks deployments
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to other IT staff
Qualifications
Your Experience
- Bachelor's degree in technical, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent military experience required
- 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience
- Design and implement scalable and secure network architectures in public, private, or hybrid cloud environments
- Configure and manage virtual networks, subnets, routing tables, VPNs, NAT gateways, and firewalls.
- Deploy and manage hybrid cloud connectivity solutions such as Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, and Cloud VPN
- Work with DevOps teams to integrate networking with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud network performance and availability using native tools and third-party solutions
- Implement and maintain security controls, including NACLs, Security Groups, and network segmentation strategies
- Participate in cloud architecture reviews, DR planning, and incident response for network-related issues
- Document network designs, standards, and operational procedures
- Stay up to date with cloud networking advancements and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with one or more major cloud providers: AWS (VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, etc.), Azure (VNet, NSG, ExpressRoute, etc.), GCP (VPC, Cloud Interconnect, etc.)
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud networking and VPN/IPSec tunneling
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and firewalls
- Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools
