About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Lead with strong hands-on experience in Java, Kubernetes, and modern cloud-native infrastructure. You will lead reliability initiatives across our platform, build automation, optimize performance, and work closely with development teams to ensure scalable, highly available, and secure systems.

Job Description:

We are hiring an experienced Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Lead with strong expertise in Java backend systems and Kubernetes-based deployments. Youll be responsible for leading the reliability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical systems in production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead site reliability efforts across Java-based microservices.
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters (self-managed or EKS/GKE/AKS).
  • Define and implement SLIs/SLOs, automate alerting, and handle on-call rotations.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, JVM performance bottlenecks, and infrastructure failures.
  • Automate deployments, CI/CD, and infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, etc.
  • Drive observability, monitoring, and incident response processes.

Required Skills:

  • 7 - 10 years of experience in SRE/DevOps/Infrastructure roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Java/JVM internals, debugging, profiling tools.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, container lifecycle.
  • Good knowledge of CI/CD, GitOps workflows, and IaC tools like Terraform.
  • Familiar with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK).
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Leadership experience mentoring, team building, driving initiatives.
