This role focuses on reviewing and calculating borrower income as part of the mortgage due diligence process. You will be responsible for analysing financial documents, assessing risk, and ensuring loan files meet internal policies and regulatory standards. The position plays a critical role in supporting accurate credit decisions and maintaining loan quality.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Review residential mortgage loan applications to ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate
  • Analyse borrower income using financial statements, tax returns, pay stubs, and supporting documents
  • Assess credit reports, employment details, and overall borrower risk profile
  • Calculate debt-to-income (DTI) and loan-to-value (LTV) ratios
  • Verify property values through appraisal and valuation reports
  • Ensure loan files comply with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Identify discrepancies or risks and escalate issues where necessary
  • Maintain accurate records and support audit and compliance requirements
  • Work efficiently under tight timelines, especially during night shift operations

  • 2–5 years of experience in mortgage processing, underwriting, or income calculation
  • Strong understanding of mortgage lending processes and compliance standards
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable working with mortgage systems and financial tools
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to work night shifts as required
  • Certification in mortgage underwriting or related areas is an added advantage
