Job Description

5 plus years in Financial Reporting and Consolidation in Insurance MGA or reinsurancePrepare accurate and timely monthly quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS UK GAAP or local GAAP where applicableProduce management reporting packs with variance analysis KPIs and performance insights for underwriting claims and investmentsEnsure all insurance-related income and expense items premiums claims commissions reinsurance are correctly recognised and reportedMaintain multi-entity multi-currency ledgers and ensure all balances reconcile to supporting recordsConsolidationLead the group consolidation process for all legal entities including insurance carriers MGAs service companies and holding companiesProcess intercompany eliminations foreign currency translation and adjustments in accordance with accounting standardsCoordinate with regional and subsidiary finance teams to ensure timely submission of reporting packsInsurance-Specific ReportingOversee premium claims and commission bordereaux processing and reconciliation to the general ledgerLiaise with underwriting claims actuarial and operations teams to ensure data integrityPrepare and submit regulatory returns eg FCA PRA Solvency II Lloyd s reporting accurately and on scheduleSupport reinsurance accounting including ceded premium recoveries and reinsurance asset reconciliationAudit and ComplianceLead the preparation of statutory accounts for audit and manage the external audit processEnsure compliance with insurance regulatory frameworks and company financial control policiesMaintain a strong internal control environment including documentation of key finance processesBusiness Partnering and ImprovementWork with senior management to support budgeting forecasting and strategic planningIdentify opportunities to automate or streamline reporting and consolidation processesProvide financial insights to support underwriting profitability analysis and claims performance reviews

Qualifications

ACA CIMA or equivalent BCOM with relevant technical accounting background
