Role & responsibilities

  • Perform testing and commissioning of substation equipment: Transformers, CT, PT, CB, Isolator, Relay panels, etc.
  • Carry out Transformer testing IR, PI, Tan Delta, Winding Resistance, Vector Group, Ratio, SFRA, etc.

  • Conduct primary and secondary injection tests for protection relays and logic verification.

  • Identify and resolve electrical faults and technical issues during site testing.

  • Prepare test reports, site logs, and handover documentation.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain quality standards at all times.

Key Skills:

  • Substation Testing & Commissioning
  • Transformer Testing up to 50 MVA
  • Relay Coordination & Protection Logic
  • OMICRON / CPC / SVERKER / CT Analyzer
  • Switchyard Equipment Testing
  • Fault Analysis & Troubleshooting
  • IEC / IEEE Standards Knowledge

Preferred candidate profile

  • Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
  • 23 Years experience in substation & transformer testing
  • Willing to work at various project sites across Oman
