Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Testing & Commissioning / Protection Engineer to support substation and power system projects in Saudi Arabia.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in testing, commissioning, and protection system configuration for electrical equipment in HV/MV substations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform testing and commissioning of electrical protection systems, relays, and switchgear.
  • Conduct primary and secondary injection tests for transformers, circuit breakers, CTs, and PTs.
  • Carry out relay configuration, setting, and calibration using standard testing equipment.
  • Prepare test reports and ensure compliance with project and client specifications.
  • Coordinate with site teams, clients, and vendors for smooth project execution.

Key Skills Required

  • Knowledge of protection schemes (overcurrent, differential, distance, earth fault, etc.)
  • Experience with testing kits such as OMICRON, MEGGER, ISA, or Doble
  • Familiar with IEC 61850, substation automation, and SCADA systems
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and protection logic diagrams

Qualifications

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 4–5 years of relevant experience in testing & commissioning
  • Gulf or international experience preferred (not mandatory)
