  • Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with business objectives.

  • Lead the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to ensure alignment between sales, production, and supply.

  • Drive initiatives to improve fill rates, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance.

  • Planning and Inventory Management:

  • Logistics & Inventory Management at Depots and Ensure Coordination at Plant/ Factory

  • Oversee demand planning and forecasting processes.

  • Ensure accurate inventory management, adherence to FIFO principles, and regular stock audits at Depots.

  • Logistics and Warehousing:

  • Manage all inbound and outbound logistics, including transportation and warehousing.

  • Negotiate rates and manage relationships with transporters and third-party logistics providers.
  • Ensure compliance with warehouse hygiene, safety, and food safety guidelines during storage and dispatch.

  • Monitor and control transportation and warehousing costs.

  • Performance and Compliance:

  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as fill rates, on-time delivery, and cost per unit.

  • Ensure all logistics and supply chain activities comply with relevant regulations and internal standards, including food safety.

  • Ensure all required documentation, such as E-waybills, is accurately maintained.

  • Team and Stakeholder Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain and logistics team.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, sales, finance, and quality control, to solve problems and drive efficiency.
  • Handle and resolve grievances related to logistics and supply chain operations.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education:

An MBA in Logistics, Operations, or Supply Chain Management from a reputable institution is often required.

  • Experience:

Minimum of 15 years of experience in supply chain and logistics, preferably in the food or FMCG manufacturing sector. Experience with e-commerce logistics is a plus.

  • Technical Skills:

Proficiency with supply chain management software is essential. Strong analytical and data management skills are also required.
