Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior CAM Engineer who can program and optimize die and mould machining for aluminium die casting tools. The ideal candidate will have expert-level knowledge of Powermill, strong cutting tools expertise, and the ability to significantly reduce machining cycle times while ensuring uncompromised accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop optimized CAM programs for dies, moulds, and inserts using Autodesk Powermill.
  • Plan machining strategies for maximum precision, superior surface finish, and reduced machining time.
  • Select and recommend cutting tools, holders, and machining parameters for maximum efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure die/mould manufacturability.
  • Perform toolpath simulations to detect and avoid collisions or machining errors.
  • Apply advanced roughing, semi-finishing, and finishing techniques for aluminium die casting dies.
  • Implement high-speed machining strategies for productivity improvement.
  • Troubleshoot machining challenges during trials and production runs.
  • Train and mentor junior CAM programmers.
  • Maintain a tooling and process standardization database for the toolroom.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or Tool & Die Making.
  • 5 years CAM programming experience in dies/moulds for aluminium die casting.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Powermill (mandatory).
  • In-depth understanding of cutting tools, coatings, feeds/speeds, and fixture setups.
  • Proven track record in reducing machining time without sacrificing quality.
  • Experience with CNC 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining.
  • Familiarity with EDM and wirecut processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30, ₹50,000.00 per month
