Senior DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer (Application Reliability Focus)

Nebula Tech Solutions is hiring a Senior SRE / DevOps Engineer who can go beyond infrastructure and
improve reliability directly in application code
.

You will work with US-based distributed engineering teams to strengthen observability, resilience, and service performance at scale.

What You Will Do

  • Instrument applications with
    OpenTelemetry, Prometheus metrics, logs, and traces
  • Add or update
    retry logic, timeouts, error handling, and resilience patterns
    in existing services
  • Upgrade and maintain
    telemetry libraries
    (e.g., OpenTelemetry SDKs) and ensure no breaking changes
  • Review developer code for
    reliability, metrics coverage, logging standards
    , and production readiness
  • Operate and optimize
    Kubernetes (EKS)
    deployments
  • Enhance CI/CD pipelines and automate reliability workflows (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD)
  • Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements (SLIs/SLOs, MTTR reduction)

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years
    of experience in DevOps / SRE / Platform Engineering
  • Strong experience with
    Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
  • Solid programming in
    Python, Go, Java, or C#
  • Ability to modify existing application code
  • Ability to add counters, histograms, traces, logs
  • Ability to update telemetry libraries and test integrations
  • Hands-on experience with
    Prometheus, Grafana, OTel, Loki, ELK, or Jaeger
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset across distributed systems
  • Experience implementing SLIs/SLOs, alert tuning, and incident management
  • Ability to collaborate with development teams on reliability-focused changes

Nice to Have

  • Experience with service meshes (Istio)
  • Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures on AWS
