Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant - IT Network Engineer

The IT Server Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's server infrastructure to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure server operations. This role plays a critical part in supporting our technology initiatives and business operations.

Responsibilities:

Server Infrastructure Design: Design and plan server infrastructure to meet business requirements, ensuring scalability and reliability.

Server Deployment: Configure, install, and maintain physical and virtual servers, including hardware and software components.

Server Operating Systems: Administer server operating systems, including Windows Server, Linux, and other relevant platforms.

Server Virtualization: Manage virtualization platforms, such as VMware or Hyper-V, to optimize server resources and ensure high availability.

Server Security: Implement security measures, including access controls, patch management, and antivirus solutions, to protect server assets.

Server Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain server backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and business continuity.

Server Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor server performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize server resources for efficiency and reliability.

Server Documentation: Create and maintain detailed server documentation, including configuration, inventory, and procedures.

Server Upgrades and Expansion: Plan and execute server hardware and software upgrades, as well as server expansion projects.

Vendor and Service Provider Management: Collaborate with server hardware and software vendors and service providers to ensure effective delivery of server services.

Disaster Recovery and Redundancy: Develop and implement disaster recovery and redundancy strategies to ensure server availability in case of failures.

Responsible for the following Server OS': Windows 2003/2008/2012 r2/2016/2019/2022.

Responsible for maintaining VX Rail and back up system (Rubrik)

Responsible for maintaining servers hosted in AWS or Azure

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of Server.

Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of network best practices and emerging technologies.

Experience with cloud-based networking is a plus.
