Position: Manager – Network Planning (Systems and Automation)
Reporting to: Director – Schedule planning and slot management
About The Team
Network Planning at IndiGo is to design, develop, implement, monitor, and continuously improve the network of flights deployed by the Airlines. The network planning group includes specialists at schedule design and management as well as analytical expertise with a high level of exposure and understanding for airline economics and its key drivers.
About The Role
The candidate on this role will be responsible to assist network planning and scheduling team on systems & tools. and will serve as technical point of contact for all issues related to Sabre Air Vision, code share management, schedule distribution and other tools.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor/master's in computer science or equivalent.
- 07-10 years' experience in airline Network Planning/Scheduling/Revenue Management or any airline analytical field, or technical role in Aviation industry.
What you'll do
- End to end supervision of schedule distribution and schedule publishing to downline systems.
- Managing the integration with downline system.
- Understand how planning, scheduling systems and other analytical tool works.
- Map the team's usage of the tool to suggest steps to increase adoption and automate repetitive tasks.
- Interact regularly with internal IT, Sabre, and other venders to design internal services to aid process improvement, overcome system limitations and downline system integration.
- Automating the scheduling related tasks with the help of available tools like Excel, MS Access, Python, SQL & R.
- Ensure all the relevant SOPs, process documents and polices are up to date.
- Monitor and follow up on application related issues/ requests raised with Application providers.
- Scheduling related BI dashboard developments and maintenance.
- Assisting in project management for special projects related to network planning.
- Internal & External stakeholders management.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office especially in Excel, Word, Access, and Power point.
- Proficiency in any Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau.
- Proficiency in python, R programming & SQL languages is preferred.
- Eager to solve complex problems, creative thinking, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to multi-task on several scheduling projects and issues simultaneously.
- Advance digital literacy: Experience in using Sabre Air Vision Planning and scheduling tool or an equivalent planning/scheduling software along with basic understanding of airline reservation system.
- Ability to be discrete and handle confidential plans and data.
- Extremely detail oriented.
