Reports To: Manager Sales / Head Business Development

Job Purpose:

To act as a key link between the Sales, Design, and Mould Development teams, ensuring timely execution of new mould development projects based on customer requirements. The role involves coordinating with internal departments and external vendors to deliver moulds that meet quality, cost, and timeline expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Mould Development Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal teams and toolmakers for timely completion of mould development projects.
  • Track project timelines from design approval to commercial production.
  • Facilitate technical discussions between customer and design teams.
  • Maintain project tracker and ensure zero delays in sample submissions and approvals.

2. Customer Service & Visits

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular visits and communication.
  • Coordinate resolution of quality, delivery, or mould-related issues in coordination with the plant and technical teams.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through prompt response and proactive support.
  • Document visit reports and share customer feedback for continual improvement.

3. Existing Business Target

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets from assigned key accounts.
  • Maintain and grow revenue from existing customers through proactive engagement and service excellence.
  • Track order inflow, mould utilization, and customer demand to ensure consistent business volumes.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to protect and expand existing business share.

4. New Business Generation

  • Identify and convert new customers in the rigid plastic packaging segment.
  • Coordinate with the design and mould development teams for new product feasibility, costing, and trials.
  • Prepare and present proposals, samples, and technical presentations to prospective clients.
  • Achieve new business acquisition targets within approved cost and time parameters.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Diploma / B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical / Plastic Technology or related discipline.
  • Experience: 58 years of experience in mould development, project coordination, or technical sales within the rigid plastic packaging or injection/blow moulding industry.
