The Team
Analytical Content Curation team plays a key role in Data Management Solutions business of S&P Global by utilizing diverse skills set and providing high quality technical support to clients. The team has global presence and works together within and across multiple specialized functions. The team collaborates with Datafeed Application Specialists, Product Managers and Sales Teams and provide SQL query and API coding assistance to clients on Marketplace and Xpressfeed hosted solutions. Analytical Content Curation also provides visualizations for the Marketplace site and workflows using SQL, Python, and other languages via Workbench (Databricks) to clients.

You will be part of a high performing team that focuses on improving the client experience. Your position as an Analyst is critical, as it is the link between Sales, Application Specialists, Clients and our Enterprise products. Combining an expertise in our products and data with a deep understanding of who our clients are and how they use our tools and data.

What's in it for you?

• Work closely with Datafeed Application Specialists, Sales, Product, Commercial and Client services teams to research and solve problems, providing SQL query support to clients
• Exposure to multiple RDBMS, API Web Services, Databricks and best-in-class data of S&P Global
• To become a subject matter expert on how our wide range of Enterprise products work
• Understand how clients use multiple datasets for investment decisions
• Support clients in using Databricks for models and workflows in SQL, Python, Scala and R
• Assist in analytic visualizations of S&P Global data using Tableau, Power BI and other BI tools

Responsibilities

• Understand client needs and develop standard/custom query scripts and answering questions on schemas of different datasets delivered through Xpressfeed.
• Create, maintain simple to complex query libraries on MSSQL/Oracle/PostgreSQL/Snowflake as per the client requirements.
• Able to understand and write sample codes based on our API services as per the client requirements.
• Research and gain knowledge on the rapidly evolving product offerings.
• Gain in-depth knowledge of products from a content and delivery standpoint, and assist sales and Application specialist teams
• Bring new ideas for innovation and automation excellence into the query support process
• Quickly absorb the product changes from clients' perspective and offer solutions accordingly.
• Be a subject matter expert for the enterprise products
• Assist with Databricks notebook creation using SQL, Python, R and Scala
• Work with team to create Coverage Visualizations for Marketplace website using Tableau

Basic Qualifications
What we're looking for:

• Proficient in any SQL (MSSQL/Oracle SQL/PostgreSQL/Snowflake)
• Knowledge on API web services and related technologies
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Finance or other relevant field
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at once
• Strong analytical and cognitive skills
• Self-motivated individual with the ability to execute independently
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Basic Knowledge on Python/R/Scala

Preferred Qualifications

• Good knowledge of financial statements, capital markets and financial analysis
• Experience with R/Scala/Python
• Experience with python libraries (Pandas, Spark, Plotly, NumPy, SciPy)
• Scripting experience in all RDBMS (MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake)
• Knowledge on multiple S&P Global's datasets
• Basic Knowledge on Tableau, Power BI or other Visualization tools
