Shift Officer- FLOUR MILL

Job Purpose
To supervise and manage mill operations during the assigned shift, ensuring smooth production, quality output, safety compliance, and optimal utilization of manpower and machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day mill operations during the assigned shift
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per plan
- Monitor machine performance and minimize downtime
- Coordinate with maintenance team for breakdowns and preventive maintenance
- Ensure adherence to safety rules, SOPs, and plant discipline
- Monitor raw material usage and reduce wastage
- Maintain quality standards and ensure product specifications are met
- Allocate manpower and manage shift workforce effectively
- Maintain shift reports, production logs, and downtime records
- Communicate shift handover details to the next shift officer
- Ensure housekeeping and 5S practices on the plant floor
- Handle emergency situations and escalate issues when required
Skills & Competencies
- Good knowledge of mill / plant floor operations
- Strong leadership and team-handling skills
- Basic understanding of maintenance and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of safety standards and quality systems
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work in rotational shifts
Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B
