Responsibilities :

  • Design, integration, testing, installation, and support of wireless network infrastructure.
  • Lead wireless network engineering projects.
  • Perform network design activities on HPE/Aruba, Cisco, Meraki, and Juniper (local or cloud-managed) systems for a large enterprise data network.
  • Investigate, design, plan, and implement physical and logical wireless communication networks.
  • Prepare schematics to define and illustrate wireless network design solutions.
  • Create design documents containing instructions for client and technical teams.
  • Provide proactive network monitoring using network management software (Cisco Meraki Cloud, HPE, Aruba, Juniper).
  • Perform capacity planning for internal and external network connections.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve wireless network issues.
  • Collaborate with local and field engineering teams and contracted vendors to address critical requirements and issues.
  • Install and maintain identity solutions such as Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, or Microsoft NPS.
  • Implement and maintain wireless security using 802.1x.
  • Adhere to wireless security best practices to ensure a secure network environment.
  • Work with Microsoft Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS.Qualifications :
  • Strong knowledge of Wi-Fi protocols, including all IEEE standards and supporting networking protocols (DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, TCP/IP, UDP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPN, ACLs, LDAP).
  • Proficiency in performing and analyzing Wi-Fi surveys using tools such as Ekahau.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot IT equipment in a multi-protocol, district-wide wireless network with centralized and cloud-based controllers.
  • Experience installing and maintaining identity solutions (Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, Microsoft NPS).
  • Strong understanding of wireless security using 802.1x and best practices.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS )
