Role Summary:

Senior Engineer Server Operations are responsible for evaluating, implementing, deploying and supporting technologies to ensure delivery and technical support of products, applications, and services to agreed service levels and standards for the environment.

AWS Cloud and Infrastructure as code technology, with good knowledge and understanding of server infrastructures (Windows & Linux), Fileservers, Security fundamentals, backup technologies network devices such as load balancers and Firewalls.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Proactively maintain and develop all operational infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service.
  • Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning
  • Good knowledge and experience in managing Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, etc.
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft Server Operating Systems – AWS, Azure, Windows 2016, 2019 Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, ADFS, Hyper-V, SCVMM, VMWare, Windows Clustering.
  • Experience in PowerShell or terraform scripts.
  • Experience in Managing PKI infrastructure.
  • Experience in managing Linux /unix servers.
  • Azure System Administration will be added advantage.
  • Good knowledge and experience in managing Microsoft Infrastructures (Windows Server, Active Directory, RDS) and Hypervisor technology (Hyper-V and VMware)
  • Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, certificates, hot fixes and on servers, workstations, and network hardware
  • Awareness of vulnerability management systems and security remediation.
  • Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP
  • Expert in Powershell, Shell, Perl, and/or Python, terraform scripting
  • Strong hand on knowledge Public cloud skills and awareness (AWS) will be added advantage, particular with infrastructure as code skills.
  • Good Experience terraform
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills: Able to solve authentication issues, troubleshoot connectivity issues with servers and certificates.
  • Experience with integrating applications and providing support related to infrastructure.
  • Enhance and improve existing infrastructure through automation and reporting.
  • Take handoff of problems from SME leads and work them independently to root cause.
  • Own Root Cause Analysis and Problem Management for Infrastructure issues.
  • Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
  • Improve existing processes through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation.
