About the Internship

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Packaging Design Intern to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of design, engineering, and healthcare. You will be directly responsible for creating, prototyping, and refining packaging solutions for our sophisticated and often delicate medical simulation models. Your work will ensure our products are protected, presented professionally, and provide an excellent unboxing experience for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Assist in the design and development of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging for various medical simulation products.
• Prototyping: Create physical prototypes of packaging concepts using in-house facilities and external vendors.
• Material Research: Research and propose innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective packaging materials that offer superior protection.
• Testing & Validation: Conduct packaging tests (e.g., drop, vibration, compression) to validate design integrity and ensure product safety during transit.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the product development, marketing, and logistics teams to understand packaging requirements from all perspectives.
• Documentation: Help create and maintain packaging specifications, guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Sustainability Focus: Explore and suggest eco-friendly packaging alternatives to align with global environmental standards.

Who Can Apply

We are looking for someone with:

• A strong portfolio demonstrating design thinking and prototyping skills.
• A keen eye for detail, aesthetics, and user experience.
• Basic knowledge of materials (e.g., corrugated boards, foams, plastics) and their properties.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator, InDesign; 3D modeling software like SolidWorks, Rhino, or Fusion 360 is a plus).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive and problem-solving attitude.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

• Are available for a full-time (in-office) internship in Hauz Khas.
• Can start the internship between 1st and 10th of the upcoming month.
• Are available for a duration of 3 months.
• Have a background in Packaging Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• A genuine interest in the medical/healthcare technology sector.
