Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior General Manager - Manufacturing Operations located in Bengaluru. The Senior General Manager will oversee daily production planning, manage manufacturing operations, and ensure operational excellence. Responsibilities also include budget management and maintaining consistent operational efficiency. The role also entails leading the operations team and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.

Key responsibilities:

·       Lead manufacturing strategy in alignment with business goals.

·       Plan capacity expansions and automation as per demand forecasts.

·       Drive operational excellence and implement lean manufacturing best practices.

·       Ensure production targets are met while maintaining product quality and safety.

·       Monitor daily operations and troubleshoot process issues as required.

·       Optimize productivity through process improvements and effective manpower utilization.

·       Ensure compliance with FSSAI, GMP, ISO, and other relevant regulatory standards.

·       Implement and maintain robust quality assurance and control procedures.

·       Coordinate closely with R&D and QA teams for new product introductions and enhancements.

·       Lead and mentor plant heads, production managers, and shift supervisors.

·       Build a high-performance culture through structured training, appraisals, and feedback systems.

·       Foster a safe, disciplined, and positive work environment across units.

·       Monitor and manage manufacturing budgets, raw material utilization, and waste reduction.

·       Identify cost-saving opportunities through automation, layout changes, or sourcing alternatives.

·       Collaborate with Supply Chain, Sales, R&D, Procurement, and HR teams for seamless plant functioning.

·       Play a key role in audits, customer visits, and management reviews.

Qualifications & Skills:

·       Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Technology, or relevant discipline (MBA is a plus).

·       Minimum 12 years of experience in FMCG manufacturing in a leadership role.

·       Strong understanding of food production systems, packaging, hygiene, and safety norms.

·       Proven track record in managing large-scale production setups and teams.

·       Hands-on experience in lean manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.

·       Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
