Job Title: SAP FICO Consultant

Location: Chennai, India

Employment Type: Contract

Role Overview:

The SAP FICO Consultant will be responsible for configuring and supporting SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to understand financial processes, configure solutions, and ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure SAP FI (General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury) and Controlling modules.
  • Perform system configuration and enhancements as per business requirements.
  • Ensure integration of FICO with other SAP modules and external systems.
  • Gather business requirements from various finance teams.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and system solutions.
  • Prepare test cases, conduct unit and integration testing.
  • Document configurations, processes, and user manuals.
  • Support various requests like SOX, Internal and external audits and provide relevant documentation as requested
  • Provide Production support and troubleshoot issues working with Business users.
  • Train end-users on SAP FICO system functionalities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of SAP FICO implementation and support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP FI and CO modules and their integration points.
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or related field.
  • Understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • SAP FI/CO certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial systems, reporting tools, and financial compliance.
