Qualification: Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Skills: Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation & Budgeting:

    • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates from interior design drawings.
    • Develop BOQs (Bills of Quantities) in coordination with design and technical teams.
    • Assist in preparing project budgets and cost plans.

  • Tendering & Procurement:

    • Prepare tender documents and review contractor/subcontractor bids.
    • Evaluate quotations and assist in awarding contracts.
    • Conduct cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.

  • Project Cost Control:

    • Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budget.
    • Track variations, change orders, and update cost forecasts accordingly.
    • Liaise with the project team to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.

  • Valuations & Payments:

    • Prepare and review interim payment applications and final accounts.
    • Verify subcontractor claims and recommend payments.
    • Ensure compliance with contract terms and payment schedules.

  • Reporting:

    • Provide regular cost reports and financial updates to management.
    • Highlight any commercial risks and assist in their mitigation.

  • Coordination:

    • Coordinate with the design, procurement, and execution teams to ensure accuracy of estimates and timely delivery of materials.
    • Attend site meetings to monitor progress and identify potential cost implications.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3 years in quantity surveying within interior design, fit-out, or construction industries.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of interior materials, finishes, and construction methods.
    • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel.
    • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
    • Familiarity with FIDIC or other standard forms of contracts (optional but advantageous).
