Check Point is looking for an experienced and visionary Technical Manager to spearhead our Network Group's endeavors. This role will not only oversee a collective of around 8-10 engineers across three specialized teams but will be instrumental in dreaming, strategizing, and realizing our next-generation network. This job is located in Bangalore (hybrid).

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Team Management: Head a team of around 8-10 engineers, fostering collaboration and synergy across the three distinct teams within the Network Group.
  • Strategy and Planning: Chart out a robust strategy for the network domain that dovetails with Check Point SASE's overarching objectives and the evolving cybersecurity milieu.
  • Technical Expertise: Offer seasoned guidance on all matters network-related, ensuring solutions are both cutting-edge and compliant with industry best practices.
  • Continuous Innovation: Drive continuous enhancement in methodologies and practices, nurturing a culture of relentless innovation and learning.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Engage actively with diverse units, from product design to market strategy, ensuring the network solutions are attuned to both market demands and customer needs.
  • Performance Management: Conduct in-depth performance reviews of team members, delivering constructive feedback and ensuring their continued growth and development.

Qualifications

  • Extensive hands-on programming skills in C, C++ or Go languages & expected to code 40% of the time on this role.
  • Around 2 years of people management experience in engineering teams, with a specialization in network systems being a marked advantage.
  • Experience and exposure to networking technologies like TCP/IP, routing protocols, DNS, DHCP would be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrable expertise in network solutions, from conceptualization to deployment.
  • A proven track record in visionary leadership, strategic planning, and successful project delivery.
  • M.E./B.E. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Network Systems or a related discipline.
