Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform regular servicing, inspections, and maintenance on commercial vehicles.
  • Find and fix mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic problems using diagnostic tools and manuals.
  • Repair or replace faulty parts such as engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and exhaust systems.
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT/DOT tests and make sure they meet safety and road standards.
  • Record all work done in job cards or workshop systems.
  • Follow manufacturer guidelines and service schedules to keep vehicles under warranty and running well.
  • Always follow health, safety, and environmental rules in the workshop.
  • Help train apprentices or junior technicians when needed.
  • Communicate clearly with service advisors and customers about vehicle issues and repair options.
  • Keep your work area clean and take good care of tools and diagnostic equipment.
