AWS Lead

Job Summary:

The AWS Tech Lead/architect with AWS Lambda Serverless Architecture knowledge, will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and managing scalable solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS), across both public and private cloud environments. This role involves overseeing cloud infrastructure, guiding teams on best practices, and ensuring the security, efficiency, and reliability of cloud-based services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AWS services, AWS Lambda Serverless Architecture, cloud architecture, and a deep understanding of hybrid cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Mentoring:

• Lead a team of developers, providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.

• Foster a collaborative and high-performance engineering culture by setting technical standards and best practices.

• Oversee the architectural design and implementation of complex AWS-based systems, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.

• Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture:

• Design and implement cloud-native applications using AWS services, with a strong focus on Amazon S3 for storage and data management.

• Lead the adoption and integration of AWS tools and services to enhance the overall cloud architecture.

• Design highly available, fault-tolerant, and cost-effective AWS solutions.

• AWS S3 Expertise:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure data storage solutions using Amazon S3.

• Utilize S3 lifecycle policies, versioning, replication, and other AWS features to ensure efficient data management and storage optimization.

• Ensure the security of data in transit and at rest, implementing appropriate encryption and access control strategies using AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) and other security services.

• Technical Delivery & Execution:

• Drive the development and deployment of AWS-based applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and are delivered on time.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployments, monitor system health, and improve performance.

• Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to AWS infrastructure, data management, and integration with third-party services.

• Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication:

• Work closely with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Provide technical documentation and regular updates to leadership regarding the progress of projects and technical initiatives.

• Continuous Improvement & Innovation:

• Stay up-to-date with emerging AWS services and technologies, ensuring the team leverages the most effective tools and solutions.

• Advocate for continuous improvement in code quality, system reliability, and performance across the team.

• 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, including significant hands-on experience with AWS services & AWS Lambda Serverless Architect.
• Proven expertise in designing and managing hybrid cloud solutions & AWS Lambda Serverless architecture
• Experience leading cloud migration projects and optimizing infrastructure for cost and performance.
• Proficiency in implementing security best practices, compliance, and governance in cloud environments.

• Expertise in AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, RDS) and AWS Lambda and serverless architecture.
• Strong knowledge of one Programming languages (e.g., Python, , or Java)
• Advanced knowledge of core AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Expertise in networking, security, and storage in both public and private cloud environments.
• Strong experience with automation tools like Jenkins, AWS CLI, CloudFormation, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as ECS or EKS.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to mentor teams and collaborate across departments.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification is preferred.

Experience Required:

8+ years in cloud architecture with strong hands-on AWS experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on with CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure as code
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes (ECS/EKS)
• Strong leadership, communication, and documentation skills

Preferred:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer
• Experience with cloud migrations and hybrid architectures
