Job Description

Marut Drones is seeking a Senior Lead System Integration Engineer to lead the integration of complex UAV systems and ensure the seamless operation of all components. In this role, you will oversee the integration of various subsystems and components, from mechanical and electrical to software systems, ensuring that they function together efficiently and meet the companys performance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• System Integration Leadership: Lead the integration of UAV systems, ensuring smooth collaboration between mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams to create a fully functional product.
• Requirements Definition & Analysis: Work closely with stakeholders to define system requirements and integration objectives. Translate customer needs and technical specifications into system-level designs.
• Subsystem Integration: Oversee the integration of various UAV subsystems, such as propulsion, flight control, sensors, and communication systems, ensuring compatibility and performance.
• Testing & Validation: Lead the planning and execution of integration tests, including system-level verification, troubleshooting, and validation to ensure system readiness and reliability.
• Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot integration issues and manage problem-solving during system testing and production phases. Provide technical solutions to complex integration challenges.
• Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Collaborate with R&D, design, and production teams to ensure successful integration of systems and components throughout the product development lifecycle.
• System Optimization: Optimize UAV system integration to ensure maximum efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness. Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of integration processes, including technical reports, test procedures, and integration plans.
• Project Management: Lead and mentor integration engineers, ensuring the timely completion of integration milestones, and coordinate efforts across teams to meet deadlines and goals.

Knowledge and skill required

• Strong knowledge of UAV systems, including propulsion, flight control, avionics, sensors, and communication systems.
• Proficiency in systems engineering, integration processes, and verification methodologies.
• Experience with system-level design, testing, and troubleshooting of complex aerospace systems.
• Expertise in managing cross-functional engineering teams and driving the integration process.
• Familiarity with integration tools and simulation software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address technical challenges during integration.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements related to UAV systems.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in system integration, particularly in UAVs or aerospace systems.
• Proven experience in leading integration projects and managing cross-functional teams.
• Strong background in systems engineering and troubleshooting within the aerospace/aviation industry.
• Experience with integration tools, test equipment, and simulation platforms.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards for UAV integration is a plus.
