BASIC PURPOSE:
Assistant Manager/STL – Fullstack is responsible for planning, designing and delivering high quality Web and Mobile Applications. Instrumental in understanding functional requirements, guiding teams through deliveries, profiling and improving front-end and back-end application performance, mentor team members and take end to end ownership of applications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Design, build and implement performant and Assistant Manager – IT robust cloud platform solutions.
· Provide level of effort estimates to support planning activities.
· Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, Project Managers, Architects and Software Engineers to deliver compelling user-facing products.
· Provide architecture and design guidance to team.
· Continuously evaluate and improve Agile practices and processes within teams.
· Guide teams in understanding ROI, prioritizing backlog items and resolving impediments.
· Deliver high-quality, secure and cost-optimized work on time.
· Establish best practices for maintaining code quality standards.
· Support software process definition and improvement initiatives and release process working with DevOps team in CI/CD pipelines developed with Terraform and CDK as Infrastructure-as-Code.
· Awareness of system defects that may occur in their area of responsibility, including product design, verification, and testing activities.
· Maintain Release pipelines for upcoming deliveries.
· Mentor less experienced team members.
· Build and maintain Individual Development Plans for direct reports.
· Understand business requirements and translate them into technical designs.
· Manage and inspire diverse teams, foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
· Enable and ensure resource utilization on high value initiatives.

· Reports to Manager, Digital Applications
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in computer science / related engineering field OR equivalent experience in related field.
· years of experience in Application Development.
· years of experience in Team Management.
· Expert proficiency in React JS, React Native and Next JS.
· Expert proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript and/or Java with Spring Boot.
· Experience in AWS services including API Gateway, AppSync, Amplify, S3, CloudFront, Lambda, ECS/Fargate, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, Event Bridge, IAM, Cognito, Dynamo, Aurora PostgreSQL, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, AWS Pinpoint.
· Experience in architecting and developing event driven cloud-based solutions.
· Expert understanding of building and working with CI/CD pipelines.
· Extensive experience with Service Oriented Architecture, microservices, virtualization and working with relational databases and non-relational databases.
· Experience with secure coding best practices and methodologies, vulnerability scans, threat modelling, and cyber-risk assessments.
· Familiar with modern build pipelines and tools.
· History of building high impact and high-performance applications.
· Excellent written, verbal communication skills.
· Able to work autonomously with little direction. They should be self-motivated, proactive, and able to take ownership of their work. They should be able to prioritize tasks and manage their time effectively, while keeping stakeholders informed of progress. The candidate should possess critical thinking skills, be comfortable with ambiguity and be able to make decisions independently.
