Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Research Engineer located in Trivandrum. The Research Engineer focused in the area of
Signal Processing w
ill be responsible for conducting research and development, developing signal processing algorithms for detection, classification, radar signal processing, and emitter tracking in contested environments.

Building adaptive and wideband processing chains to handle complex spectrum dynamics. Exploring compressive sensing, time-frequency analysis, and robust geolocation techniques. Collaborates with physics researchers to incorporate new forms of signal observables into detection logic. Refines algorithms through iterative testing and validation against experimental datasets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors/Masters in Electronics, Digital Signal Processing, or a related field
  • Experience with Research and Development (R&D) and conducting independent research
  • Experience with real-time implementation on FPGA, RFSoC, or GPU-based platforms is desirable
  • Expertise in C++, python, Matlab
  • Deep understanding of the mathematics underlying DSP (e.g., optimization, information theory, linear algebra, probability)
  • Exposure to airborne and spaceborne payload development and testing will be a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
