Role Overview
We are looking for a
Legal Manager
who will act as the
single point of contact post-token payment
, ensuring the
end-to-end legal journey
of every transaction — from due diligence to registration — is executed flawlessly.
You'll work closely with buyers, sellers, banks, builders, and our internal teams to
own the legal and documentation process
,
resolve disputes
, and
deliver a great post-purchase experience
.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Documentation & Compliance
- Draft and vet key legal documents: MoU, Agreement for Sale (AFS), Sale Deed, Gift Deed, POA, Assignment Deed, etc.
- Review and ensure the completeness of all legal paperwork required for property transfer.
- Ensure accurate calculation and guidance for
TDS and stamp duty payments
. - Apply for and manage
Encumbrance Certificate (EC)
,
Khata transfer
,
electricity bill name change
, and
property tax name change
.
Transaction Ownership
- Act as the
primary point of contact
for buyers and sellers after token payment. - Manage and track
100+ active files
simultaneously with precision and speed. - Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timelines are met from legal inspection to registration.
- Maintain transparency and trust throughout the transaction process.
Coordination & Legal Process Management
- Liaise with banks for home loan disbursements, builder NOCs, and loan closures.
- Work with external legal counsel when required for complex cases.
- Conduct and review
legal inspection reports
and highlight red flags to internal teams and clients. - Ensure compliance with
RERA
, stamp duty, and registration regulations.
Dispute Resolution & Client Experience
- Mediate and resolve legal/documentation-related disputes between buyers and sellers.
- Maintain clear, empathetic communication with clients to build trust.
- Ensure a
great post-purchase experience
by making transactions seamless and compliant. - Consistently maintain high client satisfaction scores.
Requirements
- LL.B / LL.M from a recognized university.
- 3–6 years of experience in real estate legal operations, conveyancing, or property law.
- Strong understanding of property documentation, title verification, stamp duty, TDS, Khata, EC, and registration processes.
- Prior experience in
coordinating with banks
, builders, or government offices for legal clearances. - Excellent drafting, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to handle multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.
- High ownership mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
