Hi All,

We have opening for Build & Release Manager for one of our leading Investment Banking client in Mumbai location.

Experience : 5- 7 years

Location : Mumbai

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

  • Contribute in the technical design and development of releases, ensuring thorough understanding of each component and adherence to CIB standards and guidelines.
  • Manage IT risk topics, including technology and infrastructure obsolescence, vulnerability management, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including BA, QA, and RM, to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality releases, meeting timelines and standards.
  • Conduct thorough technical architecture and design reviews, ensuring effective collaboration and smooth delivery of releases.
  • Provide proactive status reporting to management, participating in technical discussions, and making informed technical decisions.
  • Develop and implement contingency and backup plans, mitigation strategies, and application version control, ensuring DevSecOps implementation and maintenance.
  • Perform thorough reviews of release build deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality, and manage test environment stability and availability, supporting SIT/UAT testing and resolving technical issues.
  • Take ownership of release management activities, including planning, coordination, and execution of releases, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and standards, and adhere to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth handover of releases, and provide support and guidance as needed.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including release notes, technical guides, and training materials.

Contributing Responsibilities

  • Participate in solution improvement discussions and contribute to technical release management decisions
  • Act as a release manager coach and mentor to team members to ensure release plan is met
  • Develop functional knowledge of applications and create knowledge repositories for future reference
  • Evaluate new tools and technologies, and develop proof-of-concepts (POCs) to improve release management processes
  • Utilize expertise in database concepts and query optimization
  • Performance tuning to optimize release management processes
  • Apply expertise in resolving code vulnerabilities to ensure secure and reliable releases

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

  • Expert in release management using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, and Docker
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and tools like Ansible, Artifactory, and SonarQube
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Python and Shell (Linux)
  • Experience with database management systems like Oracle and MySQL
  • Exposure to security and compliance protocols like OAuth2 and ELDAP
  • Good communication and collaboration skills to work with development, test, and production support teams
  • Individual contributor with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in release management and deployment of microservices-based applications
  • Knowledge of supply chain domain would be a plus
  • Active interest and experience in AI techniques applied to delivery and deployment procedures would be a plus
