Lead Design

Key Deliverables:
• Lead detailed design and system specifications for chillers, PAHU/CRAH/CRAC units, fan-wall
systems, VRF/VRV, thermal storage, pumps, and mechanical low-side systems.
• Develop heat-load calculations, master mechanical layouts, CFD analysis, and PUE/WUE performance models for AI Data Centers.
• Ensure designs support AI rack densities, high thermal output, redundancy architecture (N+1/2N), and advanced cooling requirements.
• Drive evaluation and adoption of innovative cooling technologies suitable for AI environments.
• Coordinate design deliverables with civil, electrical, ELV, controls/BMS, and project management teams.
• Review consultant proposals, OEM submissions, BOQs, and technical documents for compliance with design criteria.
• Translate customer requirements into DBR/design criteria and present solutions to internal/external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with vendors, OEMs, design consultants, power consultants, and PMCs.
• Support mechanical commissioning (L0L5), verify T&C scripts, and ensure installation aligns with design intent.
• Review FAT/SAT documents and ensure adherence to performance standards.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, IS/IEC, NFPA, TIA-942, and internal engineering standards.
• Maintain engineering documents, calculations, as-builts, and design review reports.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelors/Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 12-18 years in mechanical design for Data Centers or critical infrastructure.
• Strong experience in cooling system design, PUE/WUE optimization, and Tier III/IV design.
• Preferred: CDCP/CDCS, ASHRAE, PMP certifications.
