We are seeking a qualified and experienced QC Lab Shift Incharge to oversee quality testing activities during assigned shifts. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of lab procedures, testing methods, and quality standards relevant to raw materials and finished products. This role requires leadership in shift operations and coordination with production and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all quality control activities during the assigned shift

  • Conduct chemical and physical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products

  • Operate and calibrate lab instruments such as muffle furnace, spectrometer, carbon-sulfur analyzer, pH meter, sieve shaker, etc.

  • Ensure adherence to standard testing methods (IS/BIS/ASTM)

  • Maintain proper records of test results and prepare shift-wise quality reports

  • Ensure lab safety, cleanliness, and compliance with standard procedures

  • Coordinate with production and quality assurance teams for process improvements

  • Train and guide lab assistants and sample collectors in routine tasks

  • Participate in internal audits, quality reviews, and calibration schedules

Qualification:

  • B.Sc. in Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry / Physics / Metallurgy

  • Diploma in Laboratory Technology (optional, added advantage)

Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of chemical analysis and lab procedures

  • Knowledge of IS/BIS quality standards

  • Shift handling and manpower management

  • Report writing and documentation skills

  • Familiarity with MS Excel, lab ERP/LIMS (if applicable)
