About the Role :

We are hiring a Field Logistics Assistant for our biochar project in Kutch. The person will be responsible for helping manage the daily movement and delivery of biochar to the fields, coordinating with transporters, and maintaining basic records. This is a field-intensive, execution-driven role suitable for someone who is hardworking, organized, and familiar with rural transport operations.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with drivers and transporters for daily pickup and delivery of biochar.
  • Track movement of biochar from kilns to farmer fields.
  • Ensure biochar is loaded and unloaded properly and in the right quantity.
  • Maintain daily records of dispatch, delivery, and pending loads.
  • Support the field team with any on-ground logistics needs.
  • Report issues or delays in delivery immediately to the supervisor.
  • Work closely with local vendors, storage points, and community representatives.

Requirements

  • 2 years of field or logistics experience (agriculture/logistics/delivery work preferred).
  • Excellent understanding of field transportation and rural coordination.
  • Comfortable working in remote areas of Kutch and travelling to villages regularly.
  • Proficiency in reading/writing Gujarati.
  • Honest, punctual, and physically fit for on-field work.
