Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage E3D projects, databases, and user roles.
  • Set up and maintain catalogues, specifications, templates, and naming conventions.
  • Configure piping, structural, equipment, HVAC, electrical specifications.
  • Manage model hierarchy, zone structure, and project libraries.
  • Support designers and discipline leads for daily modelling issues.
  • Perform data migration from legacy models and systems.
  • Integrate E3D with Aveva ERM, E3D Draw, Spoolgen, PDMS (if required).
  • Maintain model integrity, clash-free environment & performance.
  • Generate reports: MTO, clash report, model status, design review outputs.
  • Conduct regular project backups, version control, and administration tasks.
  • Coordinate with IT for server permissions, licensing, and installation.
  • User training, onboarding, troubleshooting, and best practices implementation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience with Aveva E3D administration.
  • Strong understanding of catalog, specification, and project environment setup.
  • Experience with:

    Catalogue & Specification creation

    Model administration & zone management

    Clash detection & design review
  • Knowledge of 3D modelling for piping/structural/equipment.
  • Understanding of engineering deliverables (Isometrics, MTO, GADs, Layouts).
  • Familiar with E3D server architecture, licensing, and multi-user setup.
  • Added advantage: experience with AVEVA NET, AVEVA Draw, Spoolgen, PDMS, Basic PML.
  • Excellent communication and coordination.

Education / Certifications

  • BE / B.Tech (Mechanical).
  • Aveva E3D administration certification is preferred.
