Position Overview

The Nursing Incharge with Admin Supervisor is responsible for managing nursing supervision, facility operations, stores and inventory control, tele-consultation coordination, and night-time call handling. The role ensures resident safety, clinical quality, operational readiness, and seamless communication across teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Nursing Supervision

• Monitor residents' night-time care routines and ensure caregiver discipline.
• Oversee vital checks, medication administration, and accurate clinical documentation.
• Ensure resident comfort: room temperature, lighting, mobility assistance, call-bell response, and timely support.
• Handle night-time medical concerns and escalate to the on-call doctor during emergencies.
• Ensure availability of oxygen, first-aid kits, medications, and emergency consumables.
• Supervise and ensure all care staff follow resident care plans and perform duties correctly.
• Verify completeness of all resident documentation (vitals, care logs, incidents, medication records).
• Conduct spot checks on rounds, bed checks, and high-risk residents.
• Provide quick guidance and corrective feedback to caregivers.

2. Facility Operations

• Conduct night facility rounds, document observations, and ensure safety, cleanliness, and readiness.
• Ensure timely resolution of service-related issues with minimal disturbance to residents.
• Verify security of doors, gates, CCTV, alarms, and emergency exits.
• Coordinate with security staff on surveillance and resident movement monitoring.
• Supervise night housekeeping activities and ensure morning readiness of all common areas.
• Monitor attendance, performance, and work quality of housekeeping, maintenance, and security vendors.
• Coordinate with on-call technicians (electrician/plumber) for minor maintenance issues.
• Maintain proactive, solution-focused issue resolution.

3. Stores & Inventory Management

• Ensure availability of essential consumables (diapers, wipes, gloves, linen, medications).
• Record and report night-time consumption to the day-shift team.
• Maintain organised, secure, and well-managed store areas.
• Ensure proper stock-keeping practices and accuracy.

4. Tele-Consultation Coordination & Night Call Management

• Receive, manage, and triage all incoming night-time calls related to residents, emergencies, caregivers, and tele-consults.
• Coordinate with the mapped doctor for tele-consultation under eldercare plans and ensure timely response.
• Create, manage, and schedule doctor appointments in the EHR system as per protocols.
• Maintain documentation of tele-consult requests, doctor communication, and follow-up actions.
• Support caregivers and residents during night-time tele-consult processes.
• Ensure emergency escalations reach clinical experts promptly.

Qualifications & Experience

• GNM / B.Sc Nursing
• 3–5 years of experience in nursing supervision or senior care operations

• Calm, dependable, and efficient during emergencies
• Strong observation, documentation, and reporting skills
• Ability to supervise & guide caregivers and security staff
• Empathy and patience towards elderly residents
• Clear communication, especially for handovers & escalation.
• Strong telephone etiquette and doctor coordination skills
