About the Role

ZAM Engineering & Logistics is seeking a skilled and motivated
Electrical Engineer
to join our engineering and operations team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in
industrial automation and PLC systems
, along with a strong foundation in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of STS & RTG. This role offers the opportunity to work in one of India's most advanced port facilities, supporting critical infrastructure and ensuring seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems across port facilities.
  • STS & RTG Troubleshoot and maintain
    PLC-based automation systems
    (Siemens/Allen Bradley/Schneider or equivalent).
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment, including motors, drives, switchgear, and control panels.
  • Collaborate with operations and mechanical teams to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, statutory regulations, and company policies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to energy efficiency projects.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering
    (or related field).
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance of STS & RTG.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, industrial automation, and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with VFDs, SCADA, and control systems will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
