Job Title: CMMI v3 (Services) Consultant Level 3 Implementation (On Contract)

Engagement Type

  • Contract / Consulting Assignment
  • Duration: 5-6 months (extendable based on performance & need)
  • Location: Bangalore (Hybrid / Multi-location exposure preferred)
  • Client Context: Large Staffing & Services Organization

Role Objective

To support and accelerate the CMMI v3 Services Level-3 implementation by working closely with internal teams, ATMs, process owners, and leadership to ensure process definition, deployment, compliance, and appraisal readiness within a tight timeline.

Key Responsibilities

1. CMMI Implementation Support (Core)

  • Support CMMI v3 – Services Level-3 implementation (NOT training-only role)
  • Assist in process definition, tailoring, and deployment aligned to service delivery
  • Guide teams on Process Groups & Practice Areas applicable to staffing/services
  • Ensure compliance with Intent, Value, and Evidence expectations of CMMI v3

2. Appraisal Readiness & Evidence

  • Support artifact identification, gap closure, and evidence mapping
  • Review process documents, SOPs, templates, trackers, and dashboards
  • Assist internal teams in preparing objective evidence for appraisal
  • Conduct mock interviews / readiness reviews with ATMs and stakeholders

3. ATM & Team Enablement

  • Work with internal ATMs to strengthen implementation ownership
  • Clarify roles, responsibilities, and governance expectations
  • Provide hands-on guidance during rollout (not classroom teaching)

4. Governance & Reporting

  • Participate in weekly governance / status review meetings
  • Highlight risks, gaps, and corrective actions
  • Support leadership with clear, practical inputs (no jargon-heavy consulting)

Mandatory Skills & Experience

CMMI Experience (Must Have)

  • Hands-on experience in CMMI v3 (Services preferred)
  • Experience supporting CMMI Level-3 or above implementations

  • Strong understanding of:

  • CMMI Process Groups

  • Practice Areas (PAs)
  • Evidence expectations
  • Appraisal readiness approach

Domain Preference

  • Staffing / HR Services / IT Services / BPO / Shared Services experience preferred
  • Ability to map CMMI practices to real service delivery operations
  • Prior experience working with internal ATMs / SEPG-like structures

Consulting Skills

  • Practical, execution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work with multiple locations & stakeholders
  • Strong documentation review and gap-analysis skills
  • Comfortable working under tight timelines

Good to Have (Not Mandatory)

  • Experience working with large enterprises / multi-location organizations
  • Exposure to ISO / ISO 9001 alongside CMMI
  • Appraisal participation experience (even as support role)
