Job Description

We are looking for an experienced
Core DBA with strong expertise in Oracle Exadata
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing, monitoring, and optimizing large-scale Oracle Exadata environments, along with strong problem-solving and performance tuning skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer Oracle databases on Exadata platforms.
  • Perform database installations, upgrades, patching, and migrations.
  • Implement backup, recovery, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
  • Monitor database performance and proactively resolve bottlenecks.
  • Handle space management, user management, and database security.
  • Collaborate with application teams for performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Support production, non-production environments, and troubleshoot critical issues.
  • Maintain documentation of database processes, configurations, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8–10 years of experience as an Oracle Core DBA.
  • Strong expertise in
    Oracle Exadata Administration
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, GoldenGate (preferred)
    .
  • Proficiency in performance tuning, SQL tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of database security, backup/recovery strategies, and monitoring tools.
  • Experience in Linux/Unix environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure.

Good to Have

  • Exposure to Cloud (Oracle Cloud / AWS / Azure) migrations.
  • Knowledge of automation/scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible).
  • ITIL/Agile working environment experience.
