Job details:

You will be working in the Sourcing department, BTI.

You will report to Head - Sourcing, BTI and you will work at our facility at Thervoy Kandigai, Chennai, India.

Your tasks:

  • Manage direct materials categories and external machining partners
  • Support regional team in negotiations
  • Adherence to regional and global processes including templates
  • Follow Way to Market for NPI
  • Ensure compliance
  • Internal stakeholder management – factory managers, function mangers
  • To explore and implement continuous improvement in sourcing process and supplier process for optimizing cost.
  • To support budget preparation for the regional sourcing function
  • External stakeholder management - key strategic suppliers
  • To support regional sourcing team for implementing category strategies
  • Participate and drive cross functional teams on various new initiatives
  • Keep informed on sourcing methodology and best practice developments
  • Be in forefront of market developments

Professional and personal qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 8+ years of experience in a Sourcing function.
