Estimation Engineer

POSITION DESCRIPTION : To estimate the cost of casting and pattern by studying the drawing. To coordinate with sales and prepare the estimate. To compare new revised drawings with earlier drawing and inform the correction and charges involved and revised rate of the casting.

MAJOR AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY :

• To estimate the cost of casting and pattern for the new drawings received from customers through sales as per our process.
• To study the drawings received from customers through sales and decide the suitability of manufacture at our foundry regarding specification, weight and quantity.
• To use Solid Modelling and Simulation if found necessary for the purpose of estimation.
• In case of doubt or unsuitability, to discuss with sales and regret for submission of quotation.
• To compare new revision drawing with the earlier drawing when received and inform sales regarding correction involved in pattern, the correction cost of pattern and the revision in rate of the casting.
• To discuss with Director if required while deciding the rate and brief regarding the salient points about the item.
• To revise rate working of casting on the request of sales for any specific item.
• To take part in all rejection related meeting.
• To visit customers to understand there requirement and demands as and when required..
• To maintain all necessary records.
• Attend meetings as planned and share all relevant information .
• To maintain and follow ISO documents and procedures.
• Any other responsibility as given by the superior officer.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

• To economically estimate the cost of Casting and Pattern with out compromising the quality of the casting.
• To coordinate with sales.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹19, ₹35,000.00 per month
