Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Data Engineer at Beige Bananas. The Senior Data

Engineer will be responsible for tasks related to data engineering, data modeling, ETL processes,

data warehousing, and data analytics. The Senior Data Engineer would be expected to function

independently to build end to end pipelines in AWS or Databricks.

3+ Years in Core Data Engineering Role – AWS and/or Databricks

Qualifications

  • Data Engineering and Data Modeling skills
  • Experience in Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes
  • Data Warehousing and Data Analytics skills
  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages like SQL and Python
  • Experience with cloud services like AWS and Databricks
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Technical Skills

  • Programming: Python, Spark
  • AWS Services: S3, Lambda, Glue, EMR, Step Functions
  • Databricks: Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog experience
  • Databases: SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB)
  • Data Formats: Parquet, JSON, Avro, ORC
  • Version Control: Git, CI/CD pipelines
  • Orchestration Tools: Airflow, Prefect, or similar

Responsibilities :

  • Design and implement scalable data architectures
  • Build and maintain real-time and batch processing pipelines
  • Optimize data pipeline performance and costs
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and security
  • Collaborate with ML teams on feature stores and model pipelines

Nice-to-Haves
