Role & responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory laws (PF, ESI, PT, Income Tax, Gratuity, LWF, etc.) and government regulations.
  • Manage payroll audits, reconciliations, and employee-related tax filings.
  • Drive automation, digitization, and process improvements for efficiency.
  • Partner with Finance, HR, and Compliance teams for seamless payroll operations.
  • Handle employee queries and ensure strong governance and confidentiality.
  • Vendor management for payroll systems / outsourced partners.
  • Prepare and present payroll reports and dashboards for leadership.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Graduate / Postgraduate in Finance, or related field.
  • 1215+ years of progressive payroll experience, with at least 35 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems (SAP, Oracle, ADP, Workday, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws, taxation, and compliance.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
