Role Context:

The Senior Executive Accounts is responsible for handling day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing statutory compliance, and supporting internal audits. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software and tax systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and record day-to-day journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and reconciliations
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, including vendor payments and invoicing payment
  • Finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual books of accounts
  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory regulations
  • Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits and prepare audit schedules
  • Generate MIS reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and financial dashboards
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Skills and competencies:

Technical Skills:

  • Accounting Software Proficiency - Tally Prime, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, Busy Accounting Software
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills - Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Conditional Formatting
  • Taxation & Compliance Tools - GST Return Filing (Clear Tax, Tally-GST), TDS Software (TRACES, Genius, Saral)
  • Financial Reporting & MIS Preparation - P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Budgeting & Forecasting Reports.
  • Audit & Statutory Compliance - Knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax; Experience supporting internal/statutory audits

  • Attention to Detail - Ensures accuracy in financial data and reports
  • Analytical Thinking - Interprets financial data and identifies patterns or discrepancies
  • Time Management - Meets deadlines for monthly closings, tax filings, and audits
  • Communication Skills - Coordinates with cross-functional teams, auditors, and consultants effectively
  • Problem-Solving & Adaptability - Resolves reconciliation and compliance issues; quick to learn new systems

Experience & Qualification

  • Bachelors Degree in Commerce / Accounting
  • Masters Degree in Finance / MBA Finance (preferred)
  • CA Inter (added advantage)
  • Knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (GAAP/IFRS)
  • Certifications in Tally / Excel / GST Compliance Tools (desirable)
