Role Overview
The Assistant Manager APB Sales & Business Development will drive sales of DG Sets / Gensets / Silent Generators in the assigned region. The role focuses on business growth, customer acquisition, relationship management, and customer satisfaction across pre-sales, sales, and post-sales functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve assigned sales targets (volume and value) for DG Sets / Gensets / Silent Generators.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across industrial, commercial, and institutional customer segments.
- Build strong client relationships by providing end-to-end support (pre-sales, sales, and post-sales).
- Conduct technical discussions with clients (load calculations, solution fitment, sizing).
- Collaborate with internal teams (Service, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance) for seamless order execution.
- Manage and support channel partners, distributors, and dealers to strengthen regional presence.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify risks and opportunities.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines for winwin outcomes.
- Ensure timely reporting of sales performance, pipeline, and market intelligence to senior management.
Skills & Competencies Required
- Proven track record in B2B/Retail sales of DG Sets / Silent Generators / Gensets.
- Strong business development and customer acquisition skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Technical knowledge of power generation products, load sizing, and installation requirements.
- Ability to thrive in a field-intensive sales role with frequent travel.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to independently manage a sales territory.
