Job Description:

An Engineer QC's job description involves ensuring products and processes meet quality standards through inspection, testing, and process analysis. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing quality control procedures, monitoring production, investigating issues, documenting findings, and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations. The role also includes working with other departments to resolve quality issues and implementing improvements for greater efficiency. 
 
Key responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality control plans: Create and maintain quality control standards, procedures, and test plans to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and testing: Perform inspections and tests on products at various stages of production to identify defects and non-conformities.
  • Monitor production processes: Oversee and monitor the production process to ensure consistent quality and identify potential issues.
  • Investigate and resolve issues: Analyze customer complaints and non-conforming products to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Documentation and reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality activities, and prepare reports on findings for management.
  • Ensure compliance: Guarantee that the company and its products comply with all applicable federal, industry, and international standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other teams: Work with production, engineering, and other departments to troubleshoot quality problems and implement solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement: Identify and recommend improvements to existing processes, procedures, and products to enhance overall quality and efficiency.
  • Train staff: Develop and implement training programs to educate other employees on quality control procedures and best practices.
