Job Overview:

The Assistant Manager / Manager Operations will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day operational functions across all schools under the Velammal Group. The role demands a highly organized, proactive, and result-oriented professional who can manage multiple stakeholders, ensure compliance with institutional standards, and support the senior management in executing strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be a female MBA graduate with 7 years of experience in operations, administration, or institutional management, possessing excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Institutional Operations Management

  • Supervise daily operational activities across multiple school campuses.
  • Ensure smooth implementation of academic and administrative policies.
  • Monitor adherence to school standards, procedures, and statutory norms.
  • Coordinate with Principals, Administrative Officers, and Department Heads for operational efficiency.

2. Process Planning & SOP Implementation

  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for school operations.
  • Track compliance across departments and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure consistent reporting and documentation from all branches.

4. Facility & Infrastructure Management

  • Oversee maintenance, safety, and housekeeping operations across schools.
  • Liaise with vendors, contractors, and facility management teams for timely execution of projects.
  • Monitor transport, security, and logistics operations to ensure safety and efficiency.

  • Facilitate internal communication and ensure timely dissemination of information.

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and progress trackers for management review.

7. Compliance & Audit Support

  • Ensure schools adhere to CBSE/State Board norms, safety protocols, and legal regulations.
  • Assist in audit preparations and maintain compliance documentation.
  • Support in obtaining and renewing statutory certificates and approvals.

8. Strategic Support

  • Work closely with the CEO in implementing group-wide initiatives and new projects.
  • Conduct performance reviews, assess operational data, and recommend improvements.
  • Support marketing and admissions initiatives as required.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office, data analysis, and report preparation.
  • Knowledge of school administration processes and CBSE compliance preferred.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage operations across multiple locations.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Qualification: MBA (Full-time) with specialization in Operations / HR / Administration.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years in operations or school/institutional management.
