Asst. Manager – R&D Customization

We are looking for R&D Customization - Assistant Manager for our client in Nashik which is leading electromechanical, electrical accessories manufacturing company. The company is looking for 5 to 8 Yrs. experience in R&D or product development, with at least 2 years focusing on product customization, in electrical consumer products.

Skills Required:

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical consumer products and customization processes.
• Knowledge of CAD software for product design and development. And Design tools like Corel draw.
• Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge about Logistics flow is better

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Customisation:

• Lead the design and development of customised existing parent electromechanical products based on specific Marketing requirements.
• Work with marketing, and product teams to gather customer needs and translate them into feasible design modifications.
• Work with the International Group teams and R&D internal local product development teams to define new product requirements and the plan for implementation.
• Ensure timely delivery of customised solutions while adhering to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

2. Technical Feasibility:

• Conduct feasibility studies for product modifications, assessing technical and resource requirements.
• Ensure that product customisations are scalable for production without compromising performance, cost, or quality.

3. Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:

• Coordinate closely with design, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth implementation of custom product features.
• Work with procurement and suppliers to source any specialized components or materials needed for custom products.
• Ensure alignment with manufacturing capabilities and supply chain requirements for customised solutions.

4. Prototype Development:

• Oversee the development and testing of prototypes for custom products.
• Ensure that prototypes meet customer specifications and performance benchmarks.
• Lead design iterations based on testing results and customer feedback.

5. Project Management:

• Manage multiple customisation projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time
• Maintain project documentation as per ISO standards, track progress, and report to senior management on the status of custom product development.

6. Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure that customised products comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards (e.g., CE, UL, RoHS).
• Coordinate testing and certification of custom products with third-party labs if required.

7. External department Interaction:

• Act as a technical liaison with marketing, providing updates on the progress of their customised product development.
• Address any technical queries or concerns customers may have about the product customisation process.

8. Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to improve customisation processes, reduce lead times, and enhance product quality.
• Implement lessons learned from previous customisation projects to streamline future development.

9. Logistics

• Work with Logistics, Purchase team to define the efficient flow of new products for Export in consultation with the International Group teams

Work Environment:

• Office and lab-based with occasional visits to manufacturing facilities/suppliers.
• interaction with internal teams and local /international marketing to ensure alignment on customisation projects.

This role focuses on delivering tailored solutions for electrical consumer products, driving innovation in product customisation, and ensuring high-quality and customer-centric outcomes.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹700, ₹1,000,000.00 per year
