  1. Maintain Exclusive database of transporters of local/ National and International (where we export). With clear categorization of ABC based on service / relationship and other aspects.

  2. Create a Budget and ceiling for charges to be borne / paid for all such logistics arrangement.

  3. Ensure that there is an online / Bank payment methodology followed.

  4. Work on new method of Logistics like Porter/ Wheels Eye / Dunzo / V Fast, Etc. For faster/ cheaper and urgent deliveries.

  5. Define clear SOP's with respect to Trip Planning and Coordination TAT.

  6. See to it that Vehicle Loads are been evaluated before Stuffing and Laid procedure is being followed while Loading & Unloading of Cargo.

  7. Create a tracker and share MIS with all concerned i.e. Domestic / Export Team / Accounts on daily/ Weekly and monthly basis.

  8. Receive acknowledge and certify the bills on weekly basis., Checks and verifies Freight Forwarder's invoices for both imports & exports, obtain approval from respective department Head and forwards these to Finance for payment.

  9. Ensure that every time there are competitive quotes received from 5-6 agencies before you finalise the same.

  10. Enabling Business to all associate parties with no favouritism to specific service provider, unless n until there is a long term / exclusive agreement.

11.Co-ordinates for inspection and necessary survey in case shipments arrive in open/torn/wet/damaged condition.

Other required Competencies:

Good fluency in Spoken English/ Hindi/ Marathi followed by excellent Email drafting Skills.

Knowledge of logistics and freight industry.

Computer Skills with respect to usage of Software/ Ms Office etc is desired.

Requirements

Masters / Post Graduate with 0-2 Years of experience in Logistics & Supply chain Management costing and dealings with insurance company.

Compensation – Based on the Experience & Industry Norms
