An Accounts Executive in the retail industry is responsible for managing client relationships, achieving sales targets, and handling financial transactions for retail accounts. Key duties include developing sales strategies, acting as a primary contact for retail partners, resolving issues, and maintaining financial records like accounts payable and receivable. The role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, knowledge of CRM systems, and the ability to meet financial and sales goals. Key responsibilities

  • Client management: Serve as the main point of contact for retail clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Sales and strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets, including prospecting for new clients and closing deals.
  • Financial administration: Manage aspects of accounts payable and receivable, process invoices, and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Issue resolution: Handle client complaints, resolve problems in a timely manner, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting and analysis: Monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, and prepare reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Internal coordination: Liaise with other internal departments to ensure client needs are met and to support the sales process.
  • Record maintenance: Maintain and update client information in the company's CRM system.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Experience: Previous experience in a sales or customer-facing role is often preferred.
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is commonly required.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency with accounting and CRM software is essential.
