YOUR TASKS
In the business
division Special Original Equipment, you are responsible for defining and
execution of the CO2-related sustainability roadmap for scope 3.4 and 3.9
(transportation).
Logistics concepts
Develop and implement Sustainability strategies: Design and execute comprehensive sustainability strategies tailored to logistics operations, focusing on reducing carbon footprint, optimizing resource use, and enhancing overall environmental performance.
Evaluate and Improve Supply Chain Processes: Conduct thorough assessments of current supply chain processes to identify areas for improvement with regards to Sustainability.
Transportation
Analyze and optimize transport routes and modes (e.g., shift to rail/sea) to reduce CO₂ footprint.
Evaluate and benchmark logistics partners offering low-emission transport solutions.
Packaging
Develop packaging concepts to strengthen sustainability of packaging material (e.g., reuse, recyle)
Trends & Regulation
Ensure updated know how on latest trends, best practices and regulations in sustainability and logistics., e.g., EUDR Regulation (Deforestation Regulation) and PPWR Regulation (Packaging and Packaging Waste)
Monitor developments in sustainable logistics (e.g., alternative fuels, zero-emission zones, green warehouses).
Data
Monitor and Report on Sustainability Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for sustainability and regularly monitor progress. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for further improvement.
Drive CO₂ data collection related to logistics emissions and support the GHG inventory.
Introduce digital tools for emissions tracking, routing optimization, and consolidation
Contribute to internal and external sustainability reporting.
Organization
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with various departments, including procurement, transportation, central logistics and our worldwide entities
Ensure close alignment with D&D to enable sustainable packaging and transport concepts already during development.
Strong cooperation within the HELLA / Forvia network to standardize and scale best practices in green logistics.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
You have a Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Logistics, or a related field
You have proven expertise in the area of logistics / sustainability, e.g. of regulatory frameworks and certifications related to sustainability in the automotive sector (e.g., ISO 14001, SBTi, EU directives). 
You have 10 to 12 years of relevant professional experience in a comparable role. 
You have strong methodical, analytical and reporting skills, a proven ability to build up business cases and report results to management
Excellent Excel / Power Point knowhow are strongly required. SAP / Palantir /SAC is nice to have
You have distinctive experience in international project management, very good communication skills and you are a strong team player
Furthermore, you are highly committed, have a proactive attitude, you are eager to drive change and show a high level of initiative
